1. Information We Collect

The information we collect depends on how you use Bhogi and the features you choose to use.

Account Information

When you create or use a Bhogi account, we may collect information such as your name, username, phone number, email address, and information associated with supported sign-in services.

Bhogi supports Sign in with Apple and Google Sign-In. We receive limited information from the sign-in provider necessary to create and authenticate your account.

Taste, Food and Dining Information

Bhogi uses information about your food preferences to personalize your experience. This may include:

• Taste Personality selections and food preferences;
• dishes and restaurants you view, save, reject, or otherwise interact with;
• dining activity and invitations; and
• feedback you provide about meals.

We use this information to provide and improve personalized food and restaurant recommendations and other Bhogi features.

Food Sensitivities and Dietary Information

If you choose to provide information about food allergies, intolerances, sensitivities, or dietary restrictions, we use that information to help personalize and filter recommendations.

Providing this information is optional, and you may change or remove it through the app.

Because this information may be considered sensitive or health-related information in some jurisdictions, we use it to provide and improve relevant Bhogi features and do not sell it or use it for targeted advertising.

Location Information

With your permission, Bhogi may use your device’s location to provide location-relevant restaurant, dish, and dining experiences.

Bhogi does not use location information to build an advertising profile about you.

You can manage location permissions through your device settings.

Friends, Contacts and Invitations

Bhogi includes social features that allow you to find, connect with, invite, or dine with other people.

If you choose to give Bhogi access to your contacts, we use contact information as necessary to provide the feature you requested. We may process information about specific people you choose to invite and information necessary to manage friend requests, invitations, and shared dining experiences.

When you interact with another Bhogi user, certain information may be shared with that person as necessary to provide the social feature you selected, such as your name and information relating to a dining invitation.

We do not use the contact information of people you invite to Bhogi for unrelated marketing.

Usage and Analytics Information

We collect limited information about how Bhogi is used, such as interactions with app features, onboarding, recommendations, dining actions, and technical or performance information.

We use this information to understand and improve Bhogi, diagnose problems, measure product performance, and maintain the reliability and security of our Services.

Our analytics are designed to avoid unnecessarily transmitting personal or sensitive information.

Bhogi uses Mixpanel to support product analytics.

Device and Notification Information

We may process device information and notification identifiers as necessary to operate Bhogi and deliver notifications you have chosen to receive.

You can manage notification permissions through your device settings.

Website Information

When you use our website, we may collect information you voluntarily provide, such as information submitted through a waitlist or contact form, together with limited technical information ordinarily generated when accessing a website.

We do not use your information for targeted advertising.

2. How We Use Information

We use personal information to:

• create, authenticate, maintain, and secure your account;
• provide and personalize food and restaurant recommendations;
• provide Taste Personality and related personalization features;
• take account of food sensitivities and dietary preferences you choose to provide;
• provide friend, invitation, and shared dining features;
• provide location-relevant experiences when you permit location access;
• save your preferences and activity within Bhogi;
• request and process feedback about dining experiences;
• send service-related notifications and communications;
• understand how Bhogi is used and improve our Services;
• provide customer support;
• maintain security, prevent misuse, and troubleshoot technical problems;
• communicate with you about Bhogi where permitted; and
• comply with applicable legal obligations.

We will not use your personal information for materially different purposes without appropriate notice or consent where required by law.

3. Artificial Intelligence and Personalization

Bhogi uses artificial intelligence, machine-learning, and related technologies to provide and improve personalized food and restaurant recommendations and other features.

We do not sell personal information processed through Bhogi’s AI or personalization features or use it for targeted advertising.

4. When We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information or share it with third parties for cross-context behavioral or targeted advertising.

We may share information in the following circumstances:

Service Providers

We use service providers to help us operate Bhogi, including providers supporting hosting and infrastructure, authentication, notifications, maps and location services, analytics, and other technical functions.

These providers may process information as necessary to provide services to us and are subject to applicable contractual and legal obligations.

Other Bhogi Users

When you choose to use Bhogi’s social features, information necessary to provide those features may be shared with the people with whom you choose to interact.

Your food sensitivities and dietary restrictions are not shared with another user merely because you use a shared dining feature.

Legal, Safety and Business Purposes

We may disclose information where reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law or legal process; protect the rights, safety, or security of Bhogi, our users, or others; investigate fraud or misuse; or enforce our agreements.

We may also transfer information in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar business transaction, subject to applicable law.

5. Data Retention and Account Deletion

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide Bhogi, fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, and comply with applicable legal obligations.

You can permanently delete your Bhogi account at any time through the Delete Account option in your profile.

Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. When you delete your account, Bhogi deletes the personal information associated with your account and corresponding user-linked information maintained in our analytics systems, except information we are required by applicable law to retain. The deleted account cannot be recovered.

6. Your Choices

You may control certain information and features through Bhogi or your device settings.

You may:

• manage permissions such as location, contacts, and notifications;
• update certain account information;
• update or remove food preferences and sensitivity information;
• choose whether to save, reject, or provide feedback on recommendations;
• choose whether to use friend, invitation, and shared dining features;
• opt out of marketing communications where applicable; and
• permanently delete your Bhogi account through the app.

Changing a device permission may affect features that depend on that permission.

7. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, applicable privacy laws may give you rights concerning your personal information, including rights to request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of certain information, and in some circumstances to restrict or object to certain processing.

You may also withdraw consent where our processing depends on your consent.

To exercise a privacy right, use the controls available within Bhogi or contact us at admin@bhogi.ai.

We will respond to verified requests as required by applicable law.

If we deny a privacy request and applicable law provides a right to appeal that decision, you may appeal by contacting admin@bhogi.ai and identifying your request as a privacy appeal. We will respond as required by applicable law.

8. International Data Transfers

Bhogi is based in the United States, and information may be processed in the United States or other countries in which we or our service providers operate.

Where applicable law requires safeguards for international transfers of personal information, we will use appropriate protections.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.

No electronic transmission or storage system can guarantee absolute security.

10. Children’s Privacy

Bhogi is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 in circumstances prohibited by applicable law, we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy as Bhogi, our technology, or applicable legal requirements evolve.
